Cheeky Charging is a portable phone charger rental network in venues across the UK. We built it because a dead phone shouldn't end your night, ruin your meeting, or leave you stranded on the way home.
Everyone knows the moment. Your battery hits 3% at the worst possible time. You can't check the tube, can't call an Uber, can't text the group chat, can't split the bill on the app. Suddenly a great night is a scramble to get home safely.
Bars weren't built to charge phones. Cables get lost or stolen behind the counter. Public plug sockets get camped on. Portable chargers in your bag are always flat. And the existing charger-rental options either lock a £20 deposit on your card or leave venues staffing awkward returns.
Cheeky exists to make phone charging as easy as buying a drink. Tap the machine, take the power bank with you, drop it at any Cheeky station on the network when you're done. That's the whole product.
A charged phone gets you home. We treat night-time safety as our first job, not a marketing angle.

Cheeky Charging Ltd was founded in 2024 by Cam Young after one too many nights on the way home with a dead phone, no way to book a cab and no obvious solution in any of the venues we'd been in.
What started as one machine in one bar has become a growing network across the UK — in bars, cafés, gyms, hotels, clubs and event venues. Every rental funds a share of the Cheeky Cares Fund, a small pool that supports night-time safety causes.
We're small, we build fast, and we're bootstrapped — so every decision is made with our customers and venue partners in mind, not investors chasing a quick exit.
